Well, I hope that certain players suffer more than most. The players that I really want to suffer are the players that have it WRITTEN INTO THEIR CONTRACTS THAT THEY WILL NOT BE TRADED TO A CANADIAN TEAM. With all of the money these "athletes" make, I think that they should have to play in Nome, Alaska, if that is where a trade takes them. For pete's sake, at a league minimum of U.S. $300,000, I think that the players are given more than enough money to compensate for their problems. Of course the jerks that own the teams could help, by refusing to put such a stipulation into a player contract. If you think, reading this, "Oh, I am an American, this is no concern of mine.", please think again. After all, places like Minnesota, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, San Diego, etc, etc, aren't Yankees or Braves sexy to players either, and I am sure that there are contracts in MLB that prohibit trades to those cities as well |
