Open Letter to Players/Owners

Open Letter to MLB Owners and Players:

Around here in Seattle, we've got Boeing machinists and various school districts' teachers on the verge of striking. Considering that hardworking folks like these are fighting for cost-of-living increases, health and pension benefits, the MLBPA isn't fit to lick the soles of these people's shoes! So, am I defending the Owners? Heck, no! I recognize the abuses of capitalism as much as the next socialist liberal, but I also understand its benefits. Why do you think the former Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc countries imploded? It is human nature to be capitalists, for better or worse.

Listen, MLBPA, you're not the ones all those labor union activists in history suffered and died for, all right? Get over your own millionaire-ass-kissing selves! Are you really forcing the Owners' hand to fix the game, or just in it to make as much money as you can? Sorry, but last I checked, you're not the Owners. The Owners run the teams; they get to call the shots. They're supposed to make more money than you. This is how capitalism works. If YOU want to be an owner, retire and be like Mike or Magic. Don't have enough $ to buy a team? Tough cookies!

Let the Owners decide on a new revenue sharing/salary cap system and hang themselves in the process, if they want. Players play the game, and you're compensated way more than any of you are worth. Don't just try to push up the luxury tax limit for your own good. Fix it so there will never be another stoppage!

That goes for you, too, you Fat Pig Owners! Learn some respect for the game that you've bought. You think you're losing money now, wait 'til you feel the full fury of the fans after this strike. I, for one, will boycott MLB indefinitely. I'll go to Tacoma or Everett for pro baseball before I get anywhere near Safeco Field.

We the fans can make a living and go on without MLB. I doubt any of you greedy bastards can go on without us.

Perfectly said, not that they will listen or care if they did take a second from their superior, too busy for the grievences of the meaniless little people (that fans obviously have become) lives'. I say F*CK Em, I'm sick of their prima donna asses anyway. Hopefully the league will fold and these jackasses will be out flipping burgers in a couple years.

Nobody respects the game anymore. That's why these wusses couldn't even finish an All-Star game.
