Unified Turkestan - just piece of cake?

It took about 30 year to unify and to make equal level of economics in EU. The people of Central Asia aren't gods don't you think so?

Nobody said they are Gods. Nobody discusses the timeline for this at all. Just checking the public opinion for the idea itself.

A bit strange reply. U were asking for the comments. U've got it.:) I'm not againts the union but don't you thing that all question should be asked in time. And what about the mental views of the Uzbek, Kazakh, Turkmen, Tadjik and Kirgiz people? Would it be incorrect trying to unify that nations? And would all that nations still have their owns? And don't you thing that Uzbekistan would lost more then gain?

This poll was introduced after there were reports that Nazarbaev wants to unite with Uzbekistan. Look for a reason always.

OK. It was just my opinion. Or I'm not a citizen of democratic country. (You've got kinda agressive manner of talk)

RE: Unified Turkestan - just piece of cake?

I'm very sad with the results. Probably all people who participated in that poll have a higher education. (at least a bachelor degree, haven't they?)
But they just do not try to comment their opinion(decision). However ... To be united, the people are to have free will, free mind (i do not mean wind or vacuum in their head)and high (broad?) mental views. And before unification the people should know WHAT they are right now.(and for uzbek there is another thing that they should alter: when you tell to uzbek to get the hat, he will bring the hat with the head it's the uzbek one proverb, am I right? ;(

RE: Unified Turkestan - just piece of cake?

First of all, we are all borthers and there is no much difference between all the nations in Central Asia and it would have been good idea to unite them so that they could go back to the original idea, as it was before the Russians broke up...
But there is always a problem, who will be the head and how long will take unite, and when??? All can be done but are hard things to do and come up with the answers as all the heads of states dont want to give up they post and it will be hard now...maybe in the future when tehre will be more freedom, then it will be easier and PLEASE dont compare us wiht Europeans as they had all differences, from language to culture while in Central Asia it is a different story!
Here in Australia, you will not see old migrants calling themselves as Uzbek, Kazak or Kirgiz...they consider themselves to be Turk from Turkistan! So why cant we in the future be united???

RE: Unified Turkestan - just piece of cake?

When one compare, he should compare witth the best. Only in that case he probably surpasses. And do not blame Russians! It become illness to blame someone else but not himself. If wouldn't be Russians Central Asia were the part of United Kingdom. Don't you think so? (and i'm sure that your current life is much more better than life of India ;(
For just example: What you mother will say if you tell her that you future wife is a ... from other nation? Hmm? (i suppose that u're uzbek)
Only when all differences will be lost countries can unite in such manner. All what Central Asia in need now is just to become one economic zone.(in the frontiers of CA of course). But for doing that, there is no need for unification of CA.
And only after success of above mentioned zone the CA could think about uniform and single one:)

Unified Turkestan - just a dream!

Look at the topic line!
That is my point!
Even though these nations have some common things they are absolutly different in their economic development. The only thing that unite them is the way of thinking of their governments. And sometimes it is even oriented against the welfare of their nations.
What comes to the EU, well they start the unification process in the end of 19th century. And all of the EU countries are alredy developed countries. And they think out very carefully about taking other developing country to the Union.

RE: Unified Turkestan - just piece of cake?

That aint gonna happen,
Take a look at recent history, why do you think we had all those Khans, not just one? It is because they hated each other, every one of them wanted power, importantly the REFUSED to be one. And they were all UZBEKS.

And you are talkin about unitin the whole Central Asia??? Unless Uzbeks stop teasin Kazakhs callin them Kazakhs (when they get furious), what do you expect?

There is still a whole lot discrimination among Tajiks, Uzbeks, Kazakhs and Kirghiz people.

Well, Turkmens dun give a **** to anythin. They got Turkmenbashi, they live as Turkmenbashi and die llke Turkmanbashi.

Never is too long. Sometimes people should trust. If not in governors, but in themselves.
