| Posted By: orange blood Posted On: Jan 18, 2003 Views: 496 | RE: Football coaches fulmer turned a mediocre tenn. team into a dynasty. no fan should forget that. sanders does not need to be affiliated with the sport in any way! i wouldnt even allow him to be the towel boy. chavis is solid!! a defense completely injured and still played better than most. 2nd and 3rd string players shut out kentucky, and kentucky does not get shut out! they might not win as much but the way you beat kentucky is by scoring 40 or more points. |

None of those HS All-Americans could block the walk-on linebackers Maryland played at DT!!! Munoz has been "hurt" more than he's played. Attitude- rumor from credible sources has it some UT players were on their cell phones at halftime of the Peach Bowl checking their messages - and Fulmer was on TV earlier that week saying practice was great, and the attitude was good....you reckon he's lost a little credibility? |

Iv'e read topics all year and the biggest issue is coaching.Here's what I see. 1st Sanders needs to go,2nd getting rid of Barry was a good move and it doesn't matter how long he's coached our line has not lived up to its billing over the last couple of years.3rd our defense was good but the throwing the shoulder into a wr or rb to stop them is stupid,wrap them up and drill them.We also need bigger cornerbacks that allows you to do more on defense.You guys have praised Chavis all year but how many times has his prevent defense cost us or almost cost a game.There is much better out there.4th Fulmer is a good coach and someone said he made us a dynasty.This is true but here's the problem now. Fulmer has plenty of money and a national championship so he is not hungry like he used to be ,the proof lack of discipline on the team its never been like that with him before.Fulmer and Chavis are good coaches they play it safe and with great talent that equals a winning record,but they are not as good as some of you guys give them credit for and UT should have the best money can buy.In a nutshell our whole system is conservative we need a change. |

Many football program!s cater to the WHOOO!S or the social and political ambitions of a player. Therefore some players get a chance where others do not because Dad contributed to the program in a financial way. There was three incidents that have happened at UT this season. They all started with father coming to the football bench during a game this year. Father had a stadium pass, so he went to the bench to question why Fulmer was not playing his son. This is a disease that should not happen. It discourages other players, therefore disipline problems grow. If these coaches cannot grow up to the college level they need to be bach coaching High School Ball. |
