| Posted By: roger Posted On: Mar 17, 2003 Views: 456 | basketball vols I know that most of the time football is the only thing discussed here, but if basketball team gets done dirty ill sure let my feelings be known. Im not necessarily saying that the VOLS deserve to have gone to the ncaa tourney but if bama did the vols sure did. 1. we were 9-7 compared to 7-9, overall record the same 2. The toughest division by far was the east, we played kentucky twice, fla twice and georgia twice: kentucky is #1 and fla is legitimate top five and georgia legitimate top 20. 3. to prove the prior point we went 4-2 against west and 5-5 against east. 4. I would like to know how many teams have made ncaa tourney being under 500 in their conference id say not many. 5. Now I will even admit alabama did beat us in the regular season and they do have that advantage and maybe had a tougher outside conference schedule then we did but like I said ealier we played the three best team in the sec, twice. If any bama fans want to contradict the please do so but give some facts not insults please. p.s we beat the best in the west a couple weeks ago: missisippi state |
