RE: Duct Tape Clothing

Well one, duct tape constantly on your skin gets sweaty SO fast, even in the coldest weather, socks and shirts are out of the question. Skirts, maybe if they only touch ur skin at one part, you can have a little fabric there to help. But too much fabric on the inside can accidently show and look REALLY tacky.

Will do :D Now I just need a bunch of duct tape and a spare day or two :P Not to mention a clean room to work in :P It would be cool to do a striped skirt. I can email pics if I ever get it done, if anyone wanted to see it :D

RE: Duct Tape Clothing

Sarah, what's taking you so long? Room still not clean?
That'd be a lot of tape to make a trench coat

Of course my room's not clean yet :P Plus I've been kinda busy. Ummmm, maybe I can make something small this weekend. Hmmmmm. I don't know what though. Maybe a cell phone holder, or a coin purse or something :P

RE: Duct Tape Clothing

yes. yes. yes. skirt. yes. i made a dress. it would have gotten kinda sticky on the top part, but i wore a shirt underneath so it was all good. hehe. other than that it was cold outside and the full lenghth skirt was a-line so it was all good. not as uncomfortable as u might think. ...people kept touching my dress and asking where i got it. lol. so yeah, don't turn down the skirt idea too soon. trenchcoat. awesomest idea ever. you are my hero.

RE: Duct Tape Clothing

just a mention from personal experience, a trech coat will take up about 4+ rolls of tape (including one 3" wide roll). I started mine all silver and covered only the outside in black.... its quite a trip.... unfortunately it dosent breathe very well so it dosent mix well with hot weather. coupled with the Top hats it makes for an amusing display once in a while though.

(i almost dread how hot my Tux will be when/if i finally finish)

RE: Chothing Ideas

Well, the problem with what you did was wear a trench coat on a hot day. Trench coats are made for colder days or after the sun goes down.

RE: Duct Tape Clothing

nah. i didnt make that mistake, unfortunately in my area its hot in the evenings (and the rest of the day for that matter) and that dosent make modeling for fellow classmates any easier....the hats add even more insulation to it.... so wearing it has become more of a special occasion (first day of class, etc... anything to make people wonder a little if i am still sane)

RE: Duct Tape Clothing

Yeah, duct tape clothing will never be the most comfortable, but it certainly does make people wonder what the hell you're thinking. Every raised eyebrow makes it worth the heat. Yay for people wondering if you're sane!
