| Posted By: 2nd Class US Citizen Posted On: Jan 8, 2003 Views: 310 | What We Can Do Most of us relize that our opinions and our votes don't have much to do with controling anything that goes on in America anymore. But the fact remains that information is power. Most of us aren't quite articulate enough or simply don't have the time to sit down and write long letters to our newspapers and post articles in reader sections of magazines that will get the word out regarding issues that concern us. However if you're reading this message, chances are that you are computer literate enough to use the "cut & paste" features on every home computer on the American market today. I would urge each and everyone of you to use this feature to it's full advantage in making the issues concerning you on immigration, particularly illegal immigration, on your local newspaper web sites, union web sites, and any other organizational web sites you are familiar with. In doing so, the word will spread like wildfire, believe me. Immagine going to your local news paper editorial section and finding 50, 60, or even 70 or 80% of the letters sent in a single issue like illegal immigration, everyday, every week, for weeks, months, or if need be, years. This is the kind of thing that can't be ignored. If you've got the money print it out and spread it around. Staple it up on telephone poles, put it up in supermarkets, or anywhere you think people might see it and take a minute to read it or look at it. If you see enough of them, tear one down and write a note on it "I AGREE WITH THIS, DO YOU?" and sign it and mail it to your congressman or senator. Meanwhile, people will start to think. People will start to notice, and most of all people will start to talk. It doesn't take everyone to do something like this. What if there were 20 people in your whole town or city that did something like this once a week, or once a day for a month! See what I mean? One thing is for sure, doing nothing will get nothing done. In fact this article isn't a bad place to start. One thing is for sure, while you do nothing, they're quietly signing petitions and sending them in to their congressmen, and others. What are you going to do? |
