Kinda like to see more claws really...

Not nessecarily the sort of claws that your main character would go and have coming out of his own hands (though that could be interesting..) but even just claw type weapons. I mean, they did make those too; you can go further than just going and getting metal gloves if you want a main character who'll get up in the thick of the action and bop people in the face.
Just kinda throwing that out there, even though I know someone will go and point out that that's the stupidest thing they've ever heard; it would be nice to see something that's not been done to death already.
Of course, then there's also that really wierd idea, flexability. You know, where the main character isn't stuck using just one or two types of weaponry throughout the whole game. Maybe it'd be nice to be able to have the option pick if you want your character to be able to use that nifty axe that only Jimmy the Barbarian can use out of your whole party. Maybe it'd seem a little bit less linear that way, and people would connect with their character more if they could choose just what type of weapon they wanted to bash their enemies with.
Or not; it is a rather nominal thing; in most Role playing video games combat is a sortof annoying distraction. You're walking from point a to point b, blah, menu up, hit kill whatever.
Funny how, thinking on it, the only games that I can think of offhand that actually let you do choose your method for massive pain inducing happen to run off of something other than menu driven combat; vagrant story, or the diablos or the baldur's gates and all those little d and d games. Of course, the combat's actually kinda interesting in those...
Yeah, there's my ramble, and no matter how lame it came off, it probably used up all my big thoughts for the week, so I'll shut up now.
