Card Value

I think the biggest problem with the Etopps is producing cards that will increase in value. This inturn would attract more members to the Etopps community. Too many cards that just arent going anywhere. I think they should decrease the amount of cards produced and at the same time limit it to only 1 IPO purchase per individual per card. Too many times now am I seeing "dealers" just trying to make a buck buying 10 + of an IPO that more than likely go up in value substantually, then selling them all off at once on Ebay to make cash. This is hurting the little man that actually enjoys "collecting" cards. But as they say money talks and Topps knows that so I dont see a change happening anytime soon. Any opinions??

RE: Card Value

I think there are two possible solutions to the problem of long term value. First, etopps should ban buying more than five of the same card at IPO. A real collector doesn't need more than 5 of one card, and the print runs should go down for the 2004 year. This year's print runs have been off the charts high, and no collector made money at IPO. The second solution is to shorten the period the cards are at IPO from one week to five days. That should also shorten the print run. Any opinions?
