Posted By: Aaron Posted On: Dec 5, 2002 Views: 591 | why so long? Seriously. When a console RPG lasts more than 30 hrs, it's usually because the game is riddled with pointless dialog and excessive cinematics. Oh well, to each his own I guess. :) |

If it were a good RPG (and according to the question, it is), then you wouldn't notice how long it takes you to get through it until you finish. If it ends relatively soon, then you would probably feel that you want to keep playing, but since it's all done, there isn't anything more to play. If it lasts longer, then, since it is a good RPG, the fun lasts longer. I'll admit that some games aren't fun because they drag out so long. But then they aren't good RPGs, are they? The complaint that if the game is too long, it won't be as fun, is not applicable, since according to the question it is given that the game will be good, regardless. And wouldn't you want to play a fun game for a long time, instead of just a short time? |
