Posted By: cecil Posted On: Dec 13, 2002 Views: 562 | RE: In this order no, ff7 and ffx were great...if you are a graphics whore. The stories weren't bad but the game play was terrible. |
Posted By: ImDrunk Posted On: Dec 14, 2002 Views: 554 | RE: In this order ok ff7 was good, ten was good except for the ending which has to be the WORST ever. ff9 and ff8 were just total lumps of donkey crap, i think ff mystic quest was better then them. |
Posted By: FlameDragn Posted On: Dec 16, 2002 Views: 530 | RE: In this order I don't think any of the FF games really sucked. They were all good in their own unique ways. Why don't some of you people try to provide reasons why you dislike games instead of just yelling about how they "suck". FF8 has on of the best endings I think. FF7 was a good game, but never really tied up any loose ends at the end. FF's 1, 2, and 3 are all great in the fact that they helped define the RPG on consoles (along with Dragon Quest). FF's 4, 5, and 6 are all great games period. FF9 was a refreshing return to old school FF (set character classes and true fantasy setting). FFX was just spectacular on all fronts. Only complaint is the fact that it was obviously a lead-in for sequals. Take it light. |

Posted By: Krelian Posted On: Dec 17, 2002 Views: 506 | RE: In this order ff6 ff5 ff3 ff7 ff4 ff1 ff2 ff7 was the last ff of the sequel. anything post that is just a cd full of nonsence-cinematics what kind of final boss is a witch for god sake. |
Posted By: Aaron Posted On: Dec 18, 2002 Views: 495 | RE: In this order 1) FF4 - lots of raw fun with no boring dialog give this one the greatest longevity. 2) FF6 - a better first-time play than 4, but the lower difficulty and longer dialogs limit it to infrequent replays. 3) FF5 - most challenging FF the first time through, but mediocre in all other respects. 4) FF7 - heartbreakingly easy, and set a number of bad precidents. if the gameplay wasn't so horrible, this could've been the best in the series. 5) FF9 - I really liked this the first time through, but it has no replay value whatsoever. 6) FF3 - the poor man's FF5. I enjoyed this one. 7) FF8 - Squall was a great character. Everything else about the game was absolutely vile. 8) FF2 - eh, it was okay 9) FF1 - sucks compared to the others I never played FF10 because I don't have a PS2, plus I've lost all faith in the series. |
Posted By: Zell750 Posted On: Dec 19, 2002 Views: 480 | RE: In this order FF1-Great for way back when FF2-OLD SCHOOL GAMING meets real plot interactment yay FF3-Not too much of a difference to me FF4-Slow AT time and the whole defenseless women thing really ****ed me off FF5-Faris couldnt be any cooler FF6-The first time a character could be trained to be an army alone made for some cool battles, much more fun gameplay FF7-Even more fun with the materia sytem and many bonus games add new elements to the series FF8-Even bolder attempt at character customization, but fails due to hours of "OH-SO-FUN" drawing magic from enemies FF9-Tribute to FF4 with better graphics and custom abilities, but slow with defenseless women once again. FF10-Really cool game but loses self in becoming to massive with over done weapon system, annoyingly uncontrollable airship(no world screen cmon!). The ending was like getting a hug than seeing a possible sequel hint. Its like some romantic movie ending not a ff game ending. |

FFX: Nice graphic and good storyline. FFVIII: Worst gameplay of the series IMHO but I loved the story FFVI: Lots of character and non-linear gameplay(in the WOR) FFI: Gotta love the classics FFIV: Only the hard type FFIII(nes): The really first game of the series with Jobs. FFVII: Bad story, boring character, bad gameplay. FFII(nes): Never play that game. I believe that square really lost it with VII and VIII as far as gameplay and character design goes but they have been going uphill for the past two games. Pelorat |
Posted By: Elok Posted On: Dec 21, 2002 Views: 468 | RE: In this order Well... FF1: Just plain awesome. Probably the best in the series if you consider when it came out. FF2: Whoever unleashed this vermin on the gaming world should be horsewhipped. Like SaGa Frontier, only far cruder and less interesting. FF3: Meh. They didn't put enough thought into this. I dropped it as soon as I got to the first dungeon you HAVE to go through as a midget. FF4: Hardtype is a great game; easytype, well..yawn. FF5: If you can get past the tedious plot, the system is quite fun to play with. FF6: A good concept ruined by awkward character balance and the slowest ATB guages I have ever seen. Got so boring I couldn't even finish it. FF7: Could've been better, but not bad. Too easy and the characters whine and psychoanalyze themselves constantly, but certain aspects are nice. FF8: Never played it, sounds like a fun, acquired-taste sort of thing. FF9: Utterly unoriginal and the difficulty is a joke, but a cute little four-disc minigame. FFX: Wierd, but good. I've only seen this played, never played it, but, uh, it looked fun... |
