Posted By: Tim Hill Posted On: Dec 25, 2002 Views: 685 | Lieberman? I was very dissapointed to see Lieberman do so well in a recent poll. If I wanted to vote for a religous conservative, I'd be a Republican. Right now, I'm looking at Dean and Kerry. |
Posted By: Bob Posted On: Dec 26, 2002 Views: 681 | RE: Lieberman? Howard Dean looks the best to me out of the current field of candidates. However, I really hope Russ Feingold will run. The Democrats need a real progressive for the 2004 ticket. If Lieberman runs and wins the Democratic nomination, I'm voting for the Green Party candidate (whoever that may be). Lieberman is in far too deep with both big business and the religious right. It will be almost impossible to convince me that he is much different from Bush. |

If the Dems want to keep Blue Dogs like me in the party, you can't nominate these ultraliberals like Kerry or Dean. Liberman has a record that is inline with most Americans, despite your argument that he's a "religious conservative" (which he is not). He is a man of deep faith. Why is that bad? You know, Clinton and Gore weren't all that liberal either. The fact that Al Sharpton leads Lieberman, Gephardt and Daschle is really scary. |
