RE: RE: Close

yeah i guess you're right but the ff7 story line had a lot more to it and it lasted a lot longer. By the way Square is planning to do an FF7 sequel! don't believe me read the january 2003 edition of PSM because it's in there in fact I own that issue! thy have already come up with the idea of the plot, it is not certain but there is a WAY higher chance of Square releasing a sequel to ff7 before ff6, but then again i could have been lied to by PSM

so it's close between ff6 and 7. I don't know why everyone liked 6 so much, i didn't think the storyline was THAT good, ff7 was great! having to pursue Sephiroth for the game was a great idea considering Sephiroth is a lot more scarier than Kefka!! plus it had all of the twisted stuff about the ancients. The reason why squaresoft is thinking of making a sequel to ff7 as opposed to ff6 is well... THE STORYLINE!!!!

well that's my opinion anyway.

RE: Close

Actually, when you think about it, VI and VII weren't all that different when you get right down to it... You've got someone who has gone insane for some reason or another seeking an ultimate power, and they both end up getting a hell of alot before you finally manage to track them down. In both games, your character originally worked for the enemy and ends up joining a rebel group. I've also seen alot of speculation that the "ancients" might have been espers. Alot of people view the FF series as a timeline. And no, Square isn't considering doing a sequel to VII b/c of the story. They were planning on doing 10, and alot of fans said they wanted to see a sequel to VII, too. There is absolutely NOTHING left unresolved about VI. I do like Sephiroth better, though, b/c while the writers could have done alot with Kefka, they didn't; he ended up just being crazy, and nothing more.
