Some of my friends have arranged a group of 56 to go down by bus and have colours, drums, and flags to wave...and they have learnt the Namibian anthems to sing... The team is staying at Port Stephens (Horizons, I think) which is another area here in the Lower Hunter region of NSW north of Newcastle...about an hour from here by road.. They have been training there on local grounds and getting ready to down the Pumas at Gosford in Tuesday. The weather has been ideal, though it might get a bit colder for a few days this week. We hear that when they play in Launceston, Tasmania, they are arranging for people going to the game to barrack for them by birthdates...odd and even numbers... so that there will be a good atmosphere and both teams will get support. They don't get much Rugby in Tasmania, so it could well be a sellout! |
