RE: CMON THE WELTWITCHIAS

We have tickets to the Argentina V Welwitchias match in Gosford NSW - we are from LAke Macquarie further 80km north - and many people here have "adopted" the team and are going to barrack for them on the night. Some of my friends have arranged a group of 56 to go down by bus and have colours, drums, and flags to wave...and they have learnt the Namibian anthems to sing...
Good luck...we're glad you could come!

RE: CMON THE WELTWITCHIAS

Greetings again, Weltwitchias fans! The team is staying at Port Stephens (Horizons, I think) which is another area here in the Lower Hunter region of NSW north of Newcastle...about an hour from here by road.. They have been training there on local grounds and getting ready to down the Pumas at Gosford in Tuesday. The weather has been ideal, though it might get a bit colder for a few days this week.

We hear that when they play in Launceston, Tasmania, they are arranging for people going to the game to barrack for them by birthdates...odd and even numbers... so that there will be a good atmosphere and both teams will get support. They don't get much Rugby in Tasmania, so it could well be a sellout!

RE: CMON THE WELTWITCHIAS

I forgot to mention that the team featured on a major sports news item on our evening TV News NBN, tonight. They also mentioned that history could be made when Doctor Rudi van Vuuren, who played in World Cup cricket, takes the field...

RE: CMON THE WELTWITCHIAS

Well it was a great match and the noise and jubilation of the crowd over the tries could have been heard here in Newcastle! Standing ovation went on for some time...Pity you do seem to be interested!?!? Good luck next time...
