Casey Kasem

Does anyone remember which pirate station Casey Kasem DJed for in the 80's? Was it Radio Nova? I used to listen to Nova, Q102 and Sunshine and I loved his American Countdown show (I think it was called) and he used to read letters from listeners dedicated a song to someone special. Believe it or not, he is still going strong. I came across him by accident, one Saturday morning here in Upstate NY DJing for a Westchester, New York radio station (Hudson Valley 103.9). He still sounds the same as ever!

he definitely used to do his show on Radio Nova on a Sunday afternoon. I can't remember if the show then moved to NRG 103 or one of the other Nova spinoffs.

Yeah, i used to love that show. You use to hear records that were not even released in Ireland/UK. Did you know Casey Kasem was the voice of Shaggy in Scooby Doo.

RE: Casey Kasem

Casey Kasem was a syndicated show supplied by A Hollywood company to Nova and to ERI in Cork. This show was huge all over the US. It had slots for local jingles and Casey recorded stuff for the Irish stations to promote the show. Hope this helps.
