It has never been proven, nor do we really have any reason to beleive that Bruce himself directly betrayed Wallace. However Bruce did yield and collaberate, and help Edward I to a degree, so in hindsight, Bruce DID betray Wallace's cause, is not Wallace himself. Still, after Wallace's death, Bruce more than made up for his previous errors. |
