RE: my husband

How about the wife that nags her husband for having any interests other than her own? Oh wait, she's not a fan, she's a nuisance. Let the man watch his NFL lady, it's ONE afternoon a week and a few hours on Monday nights basically. And don't tell me you don't ignore him every time you turn on the Lifetime or Oxygen channel.

What if he ignored you one day a week for 3-4 months a year to do yardwork or fix things around the house. Would you have him stop that too?

RE: my husband

Nik, I have to ask, is there ANYTHING you will not be so argumentative about? Give the woman a break, she's a football widow LOL, let her have her rant.

RE: my husband

you suck nik... no one likes you. you know what ****es me off most about you? is the fact that a month ago i started ragging on everyone's comments and all of them started talking smack about how crappy that is. and now you think you are some smart a s s punk that is all cool and bad. you are just a pussy that has to copy the ideas of those ahead of him... i hope your balls shrink up and fall off.

RE: RE: my husband

Um, ok "Max Powers", talk about copying people? Shall we mentioon how blatant your name is a copy of Homer Simpson? Man, talk about hypocritical. I'm truly shocked that such a name theif would call anyone else a copycat. And do you think you're the first person in the world to have a "devil's advocate" approach to things?

And as for "is there anything I'm not argumentive about?", Well, I didn't argue with Daisy about smoking laws. I'm sorry if someone stating a different opinion offends anyone, but this IS a message board intended to inspire discussion & debate is it not? My goal is not to argue for the sake of arguing, but simply to state my opposing opinion. Sure, I may be a smartass, but isn't that half the point on such a non-serious message board?

And lastly, thank you both, I'm flattered that I'm a recognizeable name here :)

RE: my husband

Oh and, I certainly don't think I'm all "cool & bad" as you put it Max. After all, it's a freakin' internet message board, not some shaolin monk kung-fu crap.

A.T.H.F.!

RE: my husband

Nik, you didn't argue with me about cigarette laws because we're on the same side of the issue. I have to agree that the debate aspect of this message board is the best part. Where else can you shout out what you think and how you think it in such a cowardly faceless way? :) That was a joke, y'all.

What about Nascar Fans, people? That's not even a sport! They're pretty annoying.

RE: my husband

My only point Nik, was that discussion is great, but I think we can live without personal attacks. Have a differning opinion, but don't ridicule others for thinking differnt than you.

RE: my husband

I wouldn't say I "ridiculed" anyone...well...Sure my comments regarding that lady & the NFL may have seemed a little bitter, but that's just because I can relate to her husband. Besides, if you can't take a little ridiculing all in good fun, what are ya doin' here in the first place ya know? :)

And yes Daisy, (say her name & she appears, I like that) I was taking the same side with you on the smoking thingy, I just had to explain to Max that my sole point here isn't to argue.

Now can we twist this back to a debate about "sport widowers"? I'm shy in the spotlight

RE: my husband

I don't think Nik's comments were out of line. I do think he could have phrased them better.

Sports Widow's comments seemed rhetorical. We sort of get the idea that she's talking about her own husband, but she lets us draw our own conclusions.

Nik directed his comments straight at Sports Widow. Nik's comments may have been better phrased if he had used the same rhetorical tone. I think it certainly would have made the post sound funnier and less mean.

All that aside, I don't think anyone can really argue that Sports Widow wasn't referring to her own husband. Her Name gives that away. If it's okay for her to make a personal attack against her husband, it should be okay for someone (Nik) to come to her husband's defense - even if that means a personal attack right back.

Just my $.02

RE: my husband

sports widow... i guess the way you describe ur husband, he'd be a good sports fan... teh worst would be some guy that would go paint his wife's toenails in the middle of the superbowl...

RE: my husband

I'm coping him? WTF??

Should I even continue typing this response or is it not a worthwhile task.....let's see.

Nah, I think mispelling the same little word twice in one post is showing people how valid your point is already. (in other words....learn to spell before you are listened to)

Now I'm going to go try & calm down my rage over how badly the educational system has failed you.
for future reference....Coping = tolerating; putting up with; withstanding.
I think you meant copying, but I'm not going to put words in your mouth.

Anyway, G'night.
