I had the good fortune of catching a Pat Benatar concert last year. The woman was just shy of 50 and she was still scorching. Taking nothing away from any of the rest of the fine choices here, but wow wow wow.

y'see, now in the tightest definition of "rock" Pat Benetar shoots up at least a few spaces on the shorter list. Janis, Heart, Blondie, they make up some stiff competition. Pat does rock, but still no vote.
