I've in the D.C./M.D./V.A. area and I haven't seen it in a long time. It wasnt till i reasearced the internet did I find that it was discontinued what a crying shame! At a time I was feeling discouraged about my size being " in between" sizes your magazine lifetd me up and gave me may fashion idesas and let me see that we can look big and beautiful with the right resources! Please bring this magazine back I loved it! |

I'm six foot and about a size twenty four-I've got a little gut but its not big. My entire life I have been feeling rejected and I started to cut myself. My parents told me I was fat. I don't eat hardly anything and finally I have a boyfriend who is completely gorgeous and he loves me for who I am and i don't feel like I have to change for anyone. I am beautiful the way I am! I am a plus model in Ohio where being plus may as well be a crime. There are no outlets here, and if there were any good plus magazines availible, we wouldnt have them on the news stands, or they wouldnt be set out front in the stores. So what i have done is started a Plus Agency of my own which is very small right not. We have 12 models all curvy, some smaller than others but we try. I want to mix all models together and show the many faces of beauty. I design clothing for the fuller figure and put the True Divas in the spotlight no matter what the size!!!!! We are having a showcase June 25th 2004 in Cincinnati Ohio 711 Main St Shakers In Town where you can see models in all shapes and sizes, i wish i could recruit tons of models all over and start this chain reaction of beautiful fresh full figure faces that the industry wont be able to ignore. I am going to get Figure, but as one women said it is like a catalog NOT a magazine..Too many clothes in it... I would that that there would be a market for us.. But I guess not... I just do not get it at all... And the sad thing is it that I would get them.. I was just about ready to send in my card to start getting the magazine.. Oh well... All the good ones are now gone.. The fashions were up to the minute and not "fat old lady". I really felt more comfortable with myself while reading MODE. It was a great "fit"!! |
