Pato

Although Pato is a bit on the pop reggae tip his live shows are worth the price of admission.
For sure thingy his songs are constucted to be hooky and though heavy rotation may wear it thin there is nothing like a little nice-ness to get a party going.

GO PATO!

We are PBAS (Pato Banton Appreciation Society) from Peterborough, UK, and we wish to strongly disagree with the review of "Collections". We meet twice monthly and have been going strong since February 2003. We review his back catalogue on a regular basis and "Collections" is one of our top rated Pato albums along with "Universal Love" and "Live in Brazil"!

You failed to note that a song like "Save Your Soul" crams at least three musical styles into one song with stunning social consciousness lyrics. Also his out and out pop/reggae songs like "Bubblin' Hot" are the perfect soundtrack to the summer season. Pato has all the bases covered and on top of that is also a great live performer.

We saw him perform in Skegness in February 2004 and he was on top form with his backing band Musical Youth! He got the crowd off their feet and dancing to hits like "Groovin'" and "GWARN!" If you are in doubt of this check out his new DVD "Spreading The Good News - Live".

We'd appreciate any comments from fellow Pato fans and we are eagerly anticipating his new album in June as well as his UK tour in the Autumn.

GO PATO!!

Pato Banton

I totally disagree with the negative reviewer. I would encourage him to go to see Pato live. I just saw him two nights ago and he is awesome! I feel this is an excellent album and I always have a great time when I listen to it. I rate it a 5!
