We took him off insulin after 1 month based on a fructosamine test though, and he wasn't ready :-( When he was feeling better again he wouldn't touch the stuff. Took a case of it back to the vet! Jen

When he started to turn up his nose at his canned food, I eliminated the DM and he went back to eating his canned food with gusto! He now gets a small portion of the dry kibble and gets low carb canned flavors with each meal (mostly FF, Wellness or Nutro) Jenni & Champ

The canned he ate for about four months, but he was on 10u of N and would have eaten anything. After I stopped giving him way too much insulin, he wouldn't touch the stuff. We switched to FF first, and then Wellness (because of the phosphorus). He loves the Wellness.
Posted By: Laura and Murray Posted On: Sep 9, 2003 Views: 592	DM Canned Murray ate the DM canned just fine ... however, his poop was absolutely foul, and after a couple of months he began an incessant lip smacking ... a sign of nausea ... never vomited, but made me worry about that happening when I wasn't home. I moved him to Wellness and we have pooped aromatically since then.

Posted By: Laura Posted On: Sep 6, 2003 Views: 584	Not enough options The correct answer for Clark is: canned, liked it then hated it dry, loved it loved it always loved it (eye 8 600 Kaleries uh deigh ov et wen shee let me) Dry had too many carbs for Clark. I recently opened an old can of DM after maybe a year of him not eating it and he gobbled it right up. But he showed reluctance on the 2nd or 3rd can. Also, he had a remarkably good blood profile done after being off DM a few months. Better hydration, less sodium, just all around better on other foods.
