It marks the beginning of a new era dominated by the Vancouver Canucks. The main reason of course is Patrick Roy's retirement. Just like Montreal, the moment Roy leaves a team, that team (in this case the Avs) will begin their inevitable slide to mediocrity thus paving the way for the Canucks to the Stanley Cup. I believe it was a mistake for Roy to retire, a great story like his need a betta ending. Oh n I heard a rumor that the Philadelphia Flyers r trying to talk Patrick Roy out of retirement to play for them one season. Even if he does come back he won't be the same. Especially after seeing Hasek come back, ha Hasek should have stayed home instead of embarrising himself n ruining his career! |
