Halloween irony

You what is truly fun-ay! I had a dentist appointment at 8am today.

What kind of strange irony is it that I would have to get a filling the morning of Halloween and most of America's children will go out tonight getting cavities?

Too bad you didn't post this earlier then I could have told you to ask your dentist to explain that candy doesn't cause cavities. Most kids went out yesterday.

HUH?

Ok I know that I am no medical professional BUT all the white sugar that is found in mass produced processed candy cant be GOOD for your teeth. I still also believe that in the long run it will give you cavities. Now since I have admitted to not being a dentist, and McFly at least seems to be up on dental hygiene more so than I, please explain how years of lectures from parents, grandparents and dentists alike are all wrong.

Also around here (Massachusetts) kids go trick or treating ON Halloween not the night before it, why would you go out on a different night? I do understand that High School kids go out for cabbage/mischief night for smashing pumpkins, egging houses and T.P.-ing trees etc. but trick or treating is definitely supposed to happen on October 31st

Most places have trick or treat during the day on the weekend so that perverts can't abduct them. It ruins the holiday though.
Cavities are caused by bacteria in your mouth giving off acid. It eats sugars and starches so pretty much anything you eat will make them give off the acid. You can eat 17 bags of peanut butter cups if you brush right after you are done. You might get sick but you won't get cavities.

RE: Halloween irony

trick or treating isnt waht it used to be...
they have it the day before around here too, cos it was a weekend and not a weekday and they dont want it interfering with school and stuff

back in the day we either got out early or had it off and we could trick or treat the entire day and night....now alot of towns have like a 3 hour time period which is stupid

My seventeen year-old daughter is watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show with Dell right now! Dell is dressed in drag of course! I bet she will like it. I have never seen it.
