um...

...Walmart is open 24 hrs. I do most of my shopping at night. When I am awake in the daytime, I visit the smaller stores, but it is the convienence that usually leads me to Walmart. I get off work around 3am.

And as far as them being an "evil empire", well, I guess we really have run out of badguys in the world.

Run out of bad guys? What the hell are you talking about? If Walmart isn't bad enough for you (and if that's the case, you haven't researched their business practices), then how about Halliburton? How about Dubya, Cheney, Rumsfled and the rest of the Project For a New American Century(PNAC)? If you think we're running out of enemies, you need to open a newspaper....

Pinko is exactly correct. Did anybody notice it when hundreds of soldiers went to guard the Ministry of Oil when Baghdad was first taken instead of guarding priceless artifacts from 4000 years ago? And the Patriot Act, completely ignoring the two millenia-old rule of habeas corpus, allows the big bad neo-cons to imprison people based on suspicion, and not even tell them why! We haven't run out of badies in the world, it is merely the blind who do not see.
