Posted By: Catzie Posted On: Nov 26, 2003 Views: 961 | Spot Have you ever noticed that Spot looks like a gangster? He reminds me of one of the guys in Goodfellas, but can't think of the name right now. I know, people don't look like cats, but Spot does. |

Posted By: Bastion Posted On: Nov 26, 2003 Views: 1103 | Tubby is horrid I dislike that peeing, annoying Tubby. I hope, if he wins this contest, you raffle him off to whoever wants him. Go Miz Poo and Stanley Bean! |
Posted By: Daquiri Posted On: Nov 26, 2003 Views: 448 | Tubby Rules! I always go for the underdog(cat). Poor little Tubby is misunderstood. :-) Also he looks like my brother's cat who is sweetest cat there is. I love Tubby! |
Posted By: Jess Posted On: Nov 26, 2003 Views: 349 | The Introducing of the Cats Hi Robyn! I love all your cats! I know it's too late for The Bean, but I just wanted to pass along some excellent information about introducing new cats to pre-existing cats in the home. What you do is, when you first get the new cat home, put her in her own room (spare bedroom, whatever) with the door closed (obviously, her food and water bowl and litter box will be in there with her). Don't let the old cats see the new cat. Leave the situation like this for 3-4 days. The old cats will be upset and sniff around the door of the room but won't be able to see the cause of their distress. Then open the door to the room and take the new cat out, and let the old cats go in and sniff around some more. Now they're closer to the source of their distress but still have nothing tangible to pin it on. The final step, after about a week, is to put the new cat in a cat carrier on, say, the floor of the living room. Now the old cats can see the new cat but still there's no interaction or fighting. After a while, let the new cat out, and the introduction is complete. I have done this, and I've had up to five cats at one time in my house and they all got along great. I've recommended this to other people (such as my boss, who wanted to get a kitten but was afraid her 12 year old cat would be unhappy) and it's worked wonderfully for everyone who tries it. I originally got this information from a Humane Society and it's the goods. Just thought I'd pass it along to all your cat-loving fans. Thank you for your journal! You're the best! |
Posted By: Martha Posted On: Nov 26, 2003 Views: 352 | Miz Poo I love the expressions on her face. Plus her coloring is just so beautiful. |
Posted By: Webster Posted On: Nov 26, 2003 Views: 333 | The Tubster - he's my guy I love the Tubby cat, but Stanley comes in a close second. BTW, amd I correct in thinking the Tub's spraying problems started after Mr. Fancypants went missing? If so, that could be at the root of the problem - along with other changes in the house, like Stanley's arrival, and company. |
Posted By: Amy Posted On: Nov 25, 2003 Views: 506 | Spot Rules! I've loved Spot ever since I saw his first picture. In fact, when looking for a new kitten, we found a black and white one that reminded me of him. We Spot-lovers have distinguished tastes!!! ;p |
Posted By: Rhiannon Posted On: Nov 25, 2003 Views: 515 | poor spot I feel sorry for Spot. I hope he doesn't get an inferiority complex! |
Posted By: Rhys Posted On: Nov 25, 2003 Views: 520 | Woo-hoo Tubby's in the lead! You know how it is; all us girls love a bad boy. :) |
Posted By: Noelle Posted On: Nov 25, 2003 Views: 446 | Tubby I also have a "drought and famine resistant" cat, named Fiona. Because of that fact, I had to vote for Tubby. However, Fiona never pees on my guest's clothing, so perhaps I should reconsider my choice. Ya think? |
Posted By: Heather Posted On: Nov 25, 2003 Views: 469 | Tubby. Always. Though I love all things furry, Tubby is the best thing, well, ever. Tubby for life!!! |
Posted By: Cheryle Posted On: Nov 25, 2003 Views: 498 | Spanky Spanky doesn't get a lot of "ink" but he has long been my favorite Anderson kitty. :) I melt when I see that Spanky from above picture, here: http://cats.robynanderson.com/spanky.html |
Posted By: Lisa W. Posted On: Nov 25, 2003 Views: 420 | Tubby! Tubby! Tubby! I love all of your cats, but Tubby holds a special place in my heart. We gravity-challenged beings have to stick together. He needs his own website. That way we Tubby watchers could get a fix whenever we need one. You could set up a live web cam! (yeah, right.) www.tubby.com--All Tubby, all the time. |
Posted By: Ava Posted On: Nov 25, 2003 Views: 396 | Here kitty kitty! I have to admit, I was truly torn between Miz Poo and The Bean. But her little round face just does me in every time, so Miz Poo wins. |
