Hell Yeah

I played FFVI three years ago and the music from the town of Narshe still pops into my head when ever it snows or I am feeling relaxed. It had that cool exhaling sound in the back. FFVI had the best variation of the music in the FF series.

he's awesome!!!!!!

Nobuo is the greatest. I think he should keep making
his beautiful music with Final Fantasy.

His music on ffx was awesome, and whoever disagrees is insane.

LAV!

My god i love him. The work he did for FF truly made the game in my opinion. What would FF8 be like without the amazing music? Wow. I think ill go listen to Fisherman's Horizon right now.

Oh, one more thing, Balamb garden music > all

Stupid Question.

Obviously. He is one of my favourite composers, even though I rate actual musicians higher. However, back on topic, he's a great composer and definitely should not leave. However, I'm all for hearing what other composers can do with a few songs. There have already been a few Square games that have had other composers than Nobuo, some that even completely left him out, and those are some of my favourites, actually. Basically, Nobuo should continue composing for Square, but they should have a few other composers to write a few extra songs.

Don't go!!

The man is a genius when it comes to music. As long as he's still got those creative juices flowing, he should be allowed to continue working on FF games for as long as he wants to.

No contest.

Come on now people...0-m-g, how can you not love this man's work? Every peice of music he makes is orignal and refreshing,,I must say, when I was playing FFX, and I heard "Otherworld" at the end..I was amazed at this man's talent.

STAY!!!

Nobuo r0xx0rz ur b0xx0rz. He should stay. Him leaving Squeenix is like John Williams not doing a Star Wars soundtrack.

If he DOES leave...

...I just hope that Square keeps using some of his recurring themes--such as Prelude, Final Fantasy, Victory Fanfare and Chocobo's Theme--and that he doesn't stop composing at all.

I would like to see him continue composing only a few tracks per FF. He should keep arranging the above themes for each new FF, and maybe compose a couple of the main themes of each game (to be arranged in different styles for background music by the main composers), and the battle themes. I love Uematsu's battle themes, particularly the ones that start with that bottom beat that FFI-VI and IX regular battle, FFIV boss battle and FFVIII final battle included (you know what I'm talking about). And he should pick each game's main composer himself, or at least have some say in it.

Nobuo did his time, folks....

He's been in the business for nearly 20 years now, and recently with FFX, FFXII and Hanjuku Hero Vs 3D, he's finally run out of ideas.

As for having him work with other composers, been there, done that with FFX and FFXI.

He was accompanied by Masashi Hamauzu(SaGa Frontier II, Unlimited SaGa) and Junya Nakano(Threads of Fate) in FFX. In FFXI, he was accompanied by Naoshi Mizuta(Parasite Eve 2) and Kumi Tanioka(Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles).

These four saved both FFX and FFXI from mediocrity IMHO. I found it refreshing that FFX-2 was not by Uematsu, same goes for FFCC. In FFXII, only a handful of themes will be composed by Nobuo, the rest will be taken care of by Hitoshi Sakimoto(FF Tactics, Vagrant Story).

So yes, I think it's time Square-Enix gives him a nice retirement bonus and send him on his merry way. He's done more than enough in all this time.

Keep it up!

Yes, he's been with Square since FF1, but lately they talk of getting rid of him. Many music critics go a little too far and say he hasn't composed anything worthy since Final Fantasy 6, but I'm convinced that said people play Final Fantasy with their ears glued shut.

Nobou IS Final Fantasy, and it would be sad to see him go. He's not my favourite composer (Mitsuda, Naruke and Sakimoto hold that title), but he's been there for a long time, and as the series continues to evolve, so does his music; while remaining true to it's roots.

Of Course!

Wasn't he there from the beginning, Since FF 1 days? Doesn't that mean he made the win music, and the chocobo stuff?
What more do you want from him?!?!?!?!?

Envy me!

Heh,I was the first to vote! Yadayadayadayadayada!
Anyway,I think it wouldn't be fair if they suddenly kept him out of the music creation of the Final Fantasies. He's a trademark of the series. Perhaps they could fix him up with another composer just for a change.
