Check this.." how the poster starts of so excitedly, telling us how both Nostradamus and the Mayan calendar both predicted the end of the world in 2012. Isnīt it just so amazing, two different people, two different languages, two different countries, the same conclusion..blah blah blah, itīs all so jolly exciting everyone!!!!! The truth is that NEITHER made any such prediction. Itīs because of fools like her that the stupid myth about Nostradamus persists. It should be very clearly noted that there is not one recorded account of any Nostradamus "prophecy" making any clear and unambiguous correct prediction. Itīs all down to translation, deliberate ambiguity and vagueness, reading into it things that are just not there, and so on. The poster even gave a classic example of all those things about the king that died in a jousting accident. The "prophecy" mentioned no king, no time or place, and said it was in combat in a battle, not a friendly jousting tournament, which is a sport, and participants are not meant to be wounded. Itīs like me saying that at sometime, someplace, somewhere, someone will be run over by a car (wow! amazing!)and when a king dies in a plane crash people claim thatīs it! Doh! What a load of bloody rubbish the whole Nostradamus thing is. |

Why all this hysteria about 2012? Nothing is going to happen and Nostradamus did not predict it as the end of the world and neither does the Mayan calendar. Why donīt people do a little simple research before making such silly and incorrect claims? |

It is an unfortunate fact of life that there are a number of rather pathetic inividuals stupid enough to believe that some people can foretell the future, and no doubt these same idiots also believe in astrology. Sad but true. |
