I know you don't like astrology much so I've decided to defend it a bit hoping you will get interested in this wonderful study. My chart was no more specific to me then to my dog. The funny thing is if you take a dozen people, one from each sign, and give them a dozen personality descriptions based on star signs and ask them to pick out their own you will see it doesn´t work. As a matter of interest how do you think it works? How do you imagine the position of the sun, stars and planets affects our personality and our actions?

It does work, Mr Mayes and I'm eager to prove it with my interpretation but for this I need your birth data, i.e. the exact place of your birth and the exact time. As for some explanation of the way it works, it is all about the occult principle which reads "as above, so below". Astrology is an occult study that's why it doesn't have the status of a science, though as time goes on we may find a scientific explanation for this as we have always done with other phenomena we couldn't explain at some point in our history. Though, I will try to give you a glimpse of its secrets. The signs are energies the soul embraces when born, the planets modify the energies in accordance with the planetary function and there are also zones in the sky called Houses which are the fields of experience in his life, for instance, the 1st is the sign that ascends above the Eastern horizon when you are born and this sign (which is called Ascendant) contributes its energy to the sign of your Sun and means Your Self, the sign in the second house modifies your attitude to money and other recources, the third one is your style of communication (together with Mercury), the fourth is your home and attitude to it (as well as your mother or father considering who took more care of you), the fifth is your creativity, leisure time and children, the sixth is your service and health, the seventh is your marriage partner and open enemies and also contracts and so on... These are VERY short descriptions of the interpretations though it sheds some light on it for you. Thus, when you are born the positions of the cosmic bodies (the Sun,the Moon and others) reflect the path you are to follow throughout your life as well as the traits of your character. It's a kind of some cosmic indicator of what already exists for you. But it doesn't always mean you don't have free will as some people are born very dependent on their fate, others experience it only in important moments in their lives and some are absolutely or almost absolutely free. It depends. Each planetary influence has its own quality, for instance, The Sun is the soul of the native (the owner of the chart), his will and fundamental values by wich he tends to act though it's not always the case (as I said, astrology is quite complicated), the Sun (together with Saturn and Mars) also means the father and the authority in the native's life. The matter is that each planet contributes something to the native's life or, to be more exact, just reflects the way things are in his life in accordance with the function of the planet. It's all reflected in the chart which must be read by a qualified astrologer or yourself provided you are versed in astrology. Knowing your birth data: the exact place (if it is a small town, please, write also the name of a bigger and more important one because the small one can be not found in the database) and the exact time of your birth (VERY important for an accurate and profound interpretation.) I could write a lot about astrology but it's much better for you to see it in action for yourself.

I expect everybody knows this basic level of astrology. What I asked you in fact was HOW it affects people. Not one astrologer has been able to answer this question. HOW does the position of the planets and stars affect us? All I get is load of mumbo jumbo but no explanation of how this mysterious energy works on me. I don´t believe a word of it.

You know, at first after your response I wasn't going to search for some explanation because it doesn't really matter for me if a thing is explained or not, what matters is its efficiency: if it works then it's ok, explanations in these case will surely be found later but... Recently I have been reading info about one of my planets and I found a thing that can explain astrology though I did't mean to find it. But, anyway, here it is http://www.astrologycom.com/jupiter.html If you read the info about the music of the spheres you can get a clue of how this all influences a newborn. These planetary music may somehow influence the organism at the first seconds of its life and leave its imprint on it in accordance with the energy of the planet. Taking into consideration the great amount of water in the body and its great importance, we can resume that the molecules of water change under the influence of the music and thus determine the traits of character of the new born human being (the neurosystem). It can be so for sure. Even when you just listen to some music it changes your frame of mind then it can work the way it's been described above. Your response and comments will be appreciated.

Instruments pick up the radiation and convert the signals into sound. All planets, and stars, emit this radiation. The large astronomical radio dishes aimed at the stars pick up similar sounds. Why you think that this could affect the molecules in our bodies is beyond me. Let´s not forget also that the radiation from the Sun is countless times more powerful, so powerful it can even burn us. Look, just accept the fact there is no scientific evidence whatsoever to support astrology, and when large surveys have been carried checking star signs to personalities it has always found there was no connection at all. In other words it just doesn´t work. To prove it you can have my details. Born 24.01.1946 at 07.30 am. in Romford, Essex, not far from London. If you really want to make a chart or whatever go ahead. I will let my wife be judge of how accurate you are. Is that a fair test?

I have seen many of them over the years. How accurate is it? Not very. I am not at all the type of person you describe, if I walk into a room I do not command any sort of presence, far from it, nobody would notice me even if my hair were on fire. I do not like to enter into discussions and try to avoid doing so, I prefer to keep my thoughts to myself. However, if asked my opinion I will give it. A lot is made of my scientific bent, but it is only an interest of mine, a hobby, I have never worked in the field. All in all my wife thinks it does not describe me at all.
Posted By: Astrologer Posted On: Sep 1, 2010 Views: 1176	RE: Aquarius Thank you for your response, now I clearly see the mistake I made when analyzed your chart (in case you get intersted: I should have paid more attention to your Mercury in the 12th which gives reserve instead of concentrating on your tense aspects which say just the opposite). I'd like to point it out that the interpretation is 95% hand-made, so to say, and not a result of any computer process of analysis (I worked on it for two days), the only thing I used the computer for is drawing the chart as it is quite a difficult process when done all by astrologer, but the interpretation is all mine no matter how inaccurate it may be. Though I see you decided it was a computer generated out-print because of the form I gave to the analysis like breaking it in categories "Emotionality", "Intellect" and so on, it's really very computer-like, but I did so just for convenience' sake. I don't think that the analysis is all false, especially in some aspects like your relationships with your parents and your overall difficulties in relationships and the like, but I acknowledge there were some blunders in the interpretation and I will for sure avoid them in the future. Anyway, thank you for your agreement to give your birth data and comments!

You get my personality totally wrong and when I point this out you say you should have paid more attention to my Mercury aspect, or whatever. It really is a load nonsense. If it were true then all twins would have identical personalities, being born in the same place within minutes of each other. There has been a great many psychological studies carried out on twins which show they clearly do not share the same personalities. What more proof do you need that astrology is nonsense?
