The single most unplayable game in Windows until Exult, I played in DOS for some time (despite the fact that I'm only 14). I remember gathering up party members and taking their gold so I could buy a cart in Trinsic for 60 gold and a ship in Britain for 600 gold coins. I then proceeded to bake dozens of loaves of bread and buying dozens of cakes to stock the hold of my ship. Now that, my friends is "role-playing". |

That is, well, I still more or less think of it as an (action) RPG, but it didn't really get me started on the genre. My first was Super Mario RPG, which I only got because of the Mario, at the time. After that, I played FF Mystic Quest, then Chrono Trigger, and after that I can't fully remember. I know I played the first FF, and IV and VI, and Secret of Mana, before too long. But past that, I really can't remember. |

While all my friends were playing Final Fantasy and Breath of Fire, I had Star Ocean. I guess that game got me started in my gaming career. |
