Bring On The Sequel!

I would like to see a sequal to ff7 because the characters and the idea of materia was amazing! i bet the game would sell just as much as all the ff games together!

Sorry....

Ok..I'm not drunk anymore...so now I"m going to speak...Final Fantasy sequels would break a very good tradition, the music to FFX-2 is great...but it breaks a 16-year old tradition...

Also, Advent Children isn't that old...it's just getting translated. It was already released in 2k, & it's more of a fanfic than a sequ8el, because we all know Sephiroth died deep within the planet when Cloud & Co. destroyed him. That last battle in FF7 was Cloud killing him from his mind, it was psychological.

As of FFXI, I don't like it. It's too stupid, I don;t care much for the monthly fee, but I think they should've made the game like Ragnarok Online. That system was so cool. & It'd be CUTE!

my vote

Personally, I voted for FF VI. I thought it would be really interesting to see what would happen after the climactic battle with Kefka and everyone was trying to pick up the pieces of their broken world. Maybe Gestahl could have miraculously survived his fall from the Floating Continent and returns to wreak havoc on the already fragile world. Or maybe Ultros could return and.........and..........okay, nevermind that one.

This was a no-brainer.

Hey, Skeezix. Xenosaga is a prequel. Not a sequel.

For my part, I voted on Final Fantasy IV, because while it's certainly not as popular as VI and VII except to those wacky, messed up nostalgia freaks (like me), I believe that it's the game that has the most genuine potential for a real sequel.

Kain...

"FF4 or 2 left the story with some loose ends to tie up like what happens to Golbez after his sleep and Kain's quest to better himself"

EXACTLY

I want to know what happens to Kain

FFV

How about instead of a sequel, a prequel? Such as, you play as Galuf and co. before FFV, and have to kick Exdeath off the planet? Similar to Lufia 2, actually.

95's old man

I like RPGs. Especially the old ones. I grew up with Pac Man, but Final Fantasy really sparked me. They were different, new, and FFVIII reminded me of my navy years. I say, sequels for FF are not for the better. The new sequel for FF, is too feminish--too girly. I think there should be a sequel for FFVIII, though, it was a good game. I bought my Playstation for that reason.

fantasy rules

okay. look. FFXI was an "evolutionary" step for the FF series, but it was a horrible idea. Moving the Final Fantasy into an online mode--moving into a "monthly" payment, really pulled fans down. I know of a few people who think this is just to help them from the debt FF: The Spirits Within pulled them into. Seriously, I have nothing against the movie--the CG was great, the movie ruled, but nobody paid homage to FF and went to go see the movie. I was skeptical about watching it--and it was a good "evolutionary" attempt to move FF into a wider selection--but FFXI sucked. It really is not FF at all. FF has always been "not online" and now, it's becoming some Everquest game. It's like "Sony" just took over, and decided that FF should make FF some online crappy game. Sequels are fine in my idea--FFX-2 was cool, though it was too girl-gamed, but hey, millions love DDR, mostly guys and we don't want to dance, but the game is addicting. EGM listed it on the 15th best Game, which sucks, and Final Fantasy's like 4th, but I don't really like Zelda all that much. Too cutesy to be a real hard core RPG.

I say FF is good as is. It doesn't need sequels.

No Sequels

No sequels, because Final Fantasy blows.

Chill man, chill

Yo, pal, Uriel...take a chill pill. Take a chill pill..take it slowly. Sequels aren't always bad--well, sometimes they are--look at Red Fraction--it turned into crud. Then, look at FFX-2, it was pretty good as a sequel. There are many a FF fan, and they would also agree that sequels aren't that bad. Look at Chrono Cross--as Aerin put it, it was a major improvment over Chrono Trigger, which I think was bad compared to Chrono Cross. So, I say bring on the sequels and make 'em good--so Uriel, just chill, Advent Children will come soon.

Mystic Quest continued...

The first Mystic Quest kinda sucked. It had moderate graphics--definetly no Chrono Cross as Aerin said--and the gameplay was crappy. I agree with Aerin--Squaresoft should do sequels on the crappy games--giving fans a completed journey and fixing their previous mistakes.

The Best

Chrono Cross was my MOST FAV RPG of all time, and I hope many agree with me. I am waiting anxiously for Chrono Break--even though I don't own a PS2. I chose FFVIII, because the game wasn't all as I expected, by means of "bad" storyline--so a sequel would fix up their wrongs and continue on their story.
