Jesus Christ

Uriel is a retard, and regardless of my or anyone elses opinions about the current topic, he's still a retard both in and/or out of context. My god, I've seen more coherent posts in the Final Fantasy VIII boards on GameFAQs.

FF VII and IV

Even though I was very skeptical of FF X-2 at first, I have played this game a great deal and it kicks ass. It has a great system which I think is a definite homage to the job systems of Final Fantasy III and V, great music, graphics that are even better than it's predecessor (I mean you can see the texture of the girls' skin during the scinematics), a great plot, and an original free-form plot that allows you to do just about anything you want at any time. All of you who keep saying, "NO FF SEQUALS!", what do you think of FF XI? Isn't it a huge change from the tradition of Final Fantasy to do a game that REQUIRES you to play online?

But I digress. I know that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be out sometime within the next year or two, but I would really like to see a game. Cloud was easily one of the most multi-faceted characters I have ever seen. A past that is shrouded in mystery, a level of combat skill that seems to come from an elite order of military that he never really achieved, and a bevey of companions that all have their own problems and character flaws that make this a facinating game. What more could you ask for than a sequel for this outstanding game?

Final Fantasy IV I would agree could also have a sequel. This was my first role-playing game on my Super Nintendo (I don't really count Zelda), and it threw me for more than one loop. I've played this game over and over for years, including the 'net translation and the FF Chronicles edition, and it still is one of my all time favorite RPGs. This game, with its multitude of unique characters and open ending offers a slew of possibilities for a story continuation. I would be proud to own any sequel to this or VII.

No FF Sequels EVER!!!

Final Fantasy is not meant to have sequels. Whoever came up with the idea for FFX-2 should get a 30 minute swirly for even thinking about it. Sure maybe I thought a sequel should be cool, but it would break the cycle.

I ALSO DO NOT BELIEVE IN FF ONLINE, WE SHOULD BURN ALL FFXI SERVERS, GAMES, & FFX-2 GAMES IN ORDER TO STOP THIS EVIL! SQUEENIX IS GONNA HEAR FROM ME!!!!!!!!

do not break the magic

None, final fantasy is made so there is no sequel. Even if you think you want one, if there was one you would think it sucked because it would break the magic of the first game.

A bit of a two-sided question.

While there is the obvious question, there also is another; what games can REASONABLY have a sequel? I mean really, everything is fixed, everyone's happy, there's no problem and then somehow randomly a new villain emerges. Then, coincidentally, all the same warriors go to fight it.

However, a few would be okay with sequels. VII was a bit mysterious at the end, and I wouldn't mind seeing what would happen next, what with that huge cataclysm an' all. I honestly can't remember what happened at the end, but I remember SOMETHING was hit by the meteor. VIII might've been good, but I don't think anyone's a sorceress anymore, and either way that'd be a bit repetitive, to add to VIII's already unusual plot. IX seems like a good choice, because some things were untied, and then there's still 4 continents to pull out new plots from. While I doubt X-3 would be reasonable, it could do okay considering that whole mystery thing where Tidus comes back (I think; never played meself). And while these aren't exactly sequels, I'd like more games with the Class System or the Tactics system.

Story

I believe that for each of the Final Fantasy games, there really isn't that much more to tell, except maybe FFT, FFTA, and FFMQ. The other games finish their stories and whatever loose ends they don't tie are there for a purpose. I beleive Square should continue with its no-sequal policy.

Mystic Quest!

Seriously, MQ is probably the FF for which a sequel would make the most sense. Since you already have people off in search of adventure by the end, it would be nice to see what they found.

FF4 should get a sequel

FF4 or 2 left the story with some loose ends to tie up like what happens to Golbez after his sleep and Kain's quest to better himself

Other

I'm coming in with another option: no sequals. I like my stories to have ended with the games in my FF stuff, thanks.

Why FF6 shouldn't get a sequel

I'll say off the bat that FF6 is my favorite of the series. After playing through the first time, I was blown away. The ending to the game was the most complete and the most satisfying I'd ever seen. To try to further the game would be, in my opinion, a mistake.
