However, the specifics of those fantasies are individualized. The interesting aspect of this film when delaing with those fantasies is how they are laid. There is the non-english speaking nun. Interesting. The Chinese/ Japanese Pachinko addict needing to be rescued. The Accountant in glasses. The sexually permissive unobtainable Englishwoman, the ever-fertile Earth goddess, the mysterious Kabuki actress clone, and the equestrian freak. This runs the gamut of possible sexual conquests that any man might have in its diversity. It is up to the viewer to fill in his own version. The father and son bonding theme is something every son wants to some degree and this depicted to a level that is extreme but covers all bases. A great film which made me at least hope that I could discuss, however superficially, the enormous diversity of desire, security and happiness that women can provide. Except that they love children and children love hamsters. |
