Posted By: Darrin Siegfried Posted On: Nov 14, 2004 Views: 1715 | DVD With every mindless Jim Carey/Babe the Talking Pig/Hugh Grant film ever made available on DVD, it seems a crime that Prospero's Books has never been made available for sale in this format. Does anyone have any information on a possible future release? |

I'm trying to reach the distributor to tell them there IS a public for this film on DVD... I'm working on it, and I can't bear the idea of finishing my work without ever seeing the entire image !!! Maybe we could make a difference... Emma |

Posted By: Moviefone Posted On: May 30, 2005 Views: 1412 | RE: DVD I attempted to contact Miramax, who were the original North American distributors of the film, regarding a DVD release. My email didn't even elicit a peep of response from the contact person I emailed. I think it is a shame that this movie isn't available on DVD. I remember Roger Ebert's review of the film on Siskel and Ebert and his comment that the visuals from the movie are ideal for the 'video disc' format (this was quite a while ago) made me think this would be one of the first DVD re-releases ever made. I must be monumentally naive to think that mature, thinking entertainment would be quick to the shelves. Oh well, at least I know how to read. |
