telling a story

a question to peter greenaway: i have only seen the moab story and i would like to ask you way do you keep emphesizing notions such as "there is no history only historians...".
after watching this film i felt (i would like to emphasize "felt" as oposed to thought)that in spite of your great effort to "picture" the world/human mind as a place where things happen sporadicaly, not in an organized way, not in sequence,i got the feeling that the drama was stronger than you, that you could not control it: every scene that seemed to take more than a couple of seconds was overwhelming, facsination, interesting... situated within context.

it seems to me you are trying to trace some kind of a colective mind of human society.

thank you.
