Bush-wacked

anything the US govt says trying to justify its invasion into iraq is a complete fabrication intended to distract from the the real intent: kill people to steal oil to make a lot of bucks for just a very few people. nice going.

RE: Bush-wacked

Wow those sure are some frank words. critizing bush? on the internet? anonymously? That takes balls it sure is good that we have as brave and candid speakers like you revealing the "facts" about the often uncritisized Bush administration. Bravo. It is these astute observations that bring glory to the left. i applaud you, frankly speaking, for doing just that.

RE: Bush-wacked

wouldn't of it just been easier to lift the sanctions against Iraq (if oil was what we were interested in). This would have saved us billions in war expenses, and flooded the world market with cheap oil.

If you're against the war in Iraq...fine, but don't use oil as your focal point. It just shows how little you actually know of the situation, and that you get your "war news" from celebrities who are just as uninformed as you.

RE: Bush-wacked

But flooding the world market wouldnt make the US' oil companies as rich as if only the US had the oil from Iraq. Many of President Bush's supporters are big businesses, like american oil companies, and they would stand to gain alot from the US have a large amount of oil readily available to them.

RE: Bush-wacked

the mass media has been generally onside with this gov't and it's cohorts and the war. They've been lazy at demanding or investigating the truth and more interested in being in/embed. Not exactly sure what you're rant is all about dude. if ONLY it were millions who called this war and it's perpetrators for the lie that it is.

RE: Bush-wacked

I would just like to know how polls like this get turned into Bush bashing sessions. It happens every time and Bush supporter or no, it's getting quite tiring...

RE: Bush-wacked

It's called giving a sh1t. It's called free-speech and dissent. It also doesn't happen every time (see last poll). And it would only be tiring to someone who either blindly supports the current administration or doesn't give one wet fart about politics. If you were the latter, you wouldn't have replied. Oh wait, it's also tiring to read whiny posts from people who have a specific idea as to what an oddtodd board should contain. Is your specific idea a whiny post board? Because that's the only thing you're contributing.

RE: Bush-wacked

Just a little continuation on the war, if you all have been keeping up with the news, you should have seen over the past couple of days numerous stories on David Kay. He resigned from his position in the CIA, stating that the institution needs a major overhaul, and that the intelligence information that claimed there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was false. So if there were no weapons... as proven by the fact they haven't found any, why was it necessary that the US attack at that precise moment, going against UN regulation?

"So if there were no weapons... as proven by the fact they haven't found any"

I'm not saying there were or weren't any weapons, but the above line of logic from Aurora seems a little shaky to me. Just because your mom hasn't found your bong doesn't PROVE it doesn't exist.

RE: Bush-wacked

You might be right in that I am being too hard on curious, but there are three facts that are pertinent here:

1) This is one thread out of about ten that's gone political, so it's not like you can't play ostrich and visit this board at the same time.

2) Even though it has gone political, it is still based on a conspiracy, so it does relate to the poll.

3) The topic title isn't trying to pull a bait and switch just to get you to involved in political arguments.

So I guess what I'm saying is this: don't bitch at people who do want to engage in political discussion, you can always tune in to something else. Sorry if I was too gruff.

thank you CM for being so succint. it's a relief to have other voices that can be so perceptive, sane, articulate and, dare i say, perspicuous.
