He *must* have gone to Mirror 2, where they seem to delight in such dirty tricks, like sending you to a live beastiality photo site when all one wanted was big-breasted anime chicks. I dunno about the browser takeover ****, I use Firefox :) But I've seen it before, sure. Another thing that Mirror 2 does (on at least one series)is substitutes the actual pictures you think you're downloading for an animated GIF that says "I'm an idiot, I steal bandwidth." -- which is a curious point of view for a MIRROR to take, on a site where pictures are SUPPOSED to be downloaded. All it did was make me damn well determined to get the real pictures. Which I was going to do if I has to camp out on the site and, well, clog up bandwidth downloading and re-downloading things. I did eventually succeed by switching to Mirror 1. If I'm giving away Big Secrets, tough. There's no earthly reason to design things to have "gotchas" and traps like that. Life's tough enough without people going out of their way to cause grief. The "idiot" graphic in particular mystified me, and annoyed the hell out of me. A stunt like that does no-one any good if you don't explain to people exactly what they're doing wrong and how to do better. Assuming they're even really doing something wrong, which if I was, I have no idea what it was. If the stunts being pulled by Mirror 2 aren't part of the game plan, drop it altogether. You're better off with less capacity then with crap like that. If it is part of the game plan, grow up and do better. Or stop posting hentai if you're just going to sneer at your clientele. |

No matter which Manga or Doujinshi I choose to attempt to look at, I just get the crappiest "View My Porn" site, which takes over my browser, putting it in front and in full-screen mode, so I can't close the window without a cntrl-alt-delete to kill my browser. I even tried the "keep refreshing" bit that was suggested, but I had to find out what the shortcut key was to do it, and all I kept getting was the same stupid porn advert page again. Tried this over 40 times and I never got anything but. I tried with over 10 of the doujin and manga, and there were no thumbnails from any of the links provided. Just ads. |
