As for apologizing: guess what, the U.S. has been an "ass bastard" itself many times without apologizing. No American ("true" or not) has an obligation to learn Japanese, but it sure would be a great skill to have. Japan is an absolutely beautiful country -- gorgeous natural scenery, ancient temples, highly-advanced technology... There's virtually no crime, people are friendly and have good senses of humor, and they have one of the world's highest standards of living. That said, I chose Mars. :) |
