| Posted By: bcc Posted On: Oct 19, 2005 Views: 1997 | I met them once I met the Musical Youth in Barbados when they were on top of the charts in the 80s. For superstars they were really level headed and down to earth, not affected by their fame. We ( I was a teenager also at that time ) "limed" ( hung out ) for the uninitiated for the entire night at the "rum runner" club. The next night I went back and they were there, I hesitated to approach but they actually remembered my name and invited me over to lime again. I was so sad to see the demise of a group that promised to deliver so much and even sadder to learn of the hardships they met with the music moguls. Hope to hear more of the remaining youth one day. |
| Posted By: Nathan Posted On: Apr 23, 2004 Views: 1562 | Musical Youth-Anthology To correct two facts here, first: Musical Youth's "Anthology" does NOT include the full album "Youth Of Today", it leaves out two tracks: "Gone Straight" and "Rub 'n Dub". Secondly, "Blind Boy" actually was included on this album. Then again, to make the "Anthology" complete, they should've included "Let's Go To The Moon", which was only released as a single in 1984, just before the band split up, and "Unconditional Love" , which they recorded with Donna Summer, for her album "She Works Hard For The Money". |
