Posted By: Dave Posted On: Mar 9, 2004 Views: 882 | Dating was terrible! I remember there was one girlfriend I had in junior year, and she was a senior. She wasn't even 18, neither was I, and only after dating her for three weeks, she kept talking about wanting kids and getting married and living together and all that crap. At the age of 17, I didn't want to deal with that at all. I didn't want the kind of commitment my 30-year-old brother has with my sister-in-law. So of course, after being creeped out thoroughly by her, I broke up with her. And for any number of months afterwards, I'd still get truly chilling phone calls from her. "You never call me anymore!" It was terrible. At one point, she saw me with the girl I dated after her, and she went ballistic. She started threatening to kill her if she ever touched "her man" again. She was a stone solid freak! But I've since changed my number and since graduated. And since she never learned where I live, she never stalked me or anything. So she's finally gotten off my case. ...I think. But that was a truly terrible dating experience from high school. Definitely my worst part of high school, to me. |

Posted By: Kiki Dee Posted On: Mar 9, 2004 Views: 847 | RE: Dating was terrible! Poor octublogedy. You shouldn't have watched Silence of the Lambs so many times. But seriously, it sounds like this was your first girlfriend ever. Don't worry. You'll find someone else. Maybe a girl who will last longer than 5 minutes. |
Posted By: Dragonmaster Posted On: Mar 9, 2004 Views: 837 | RE: Dating was terrible! I never date. My only girlfriend died. That sucks. I have never met anybody since then that I would consider going out on a date with. What would I tell my Kaida when I meet her on the other side? "Sorry I couldent waid a few decades" I'll have enuf time latter for that sort of thing. |

I met my fiance in Jr. High, and started dating him in High School, so the dating scene wasn't that harsh for me for most of it, but man, before we got together it was teen-drama ever week with someone new. I have nothing but sympathy for teens, those are NOT the best years of your life. I swear, it will never be worse that High School. Dragonmaster, you know, you have mentioned that you don't date, and that the love of your life died before. Maybe it's time to stop looking for sympathy/escape online and go out and meet some nice girl who likes dragons and good food and settle down. If you meet Kaida in the afterlife, introduce her to the girl you spent your life with, she'll understand. |
