trainspotting

i spotted nick on the train and after 2-3 years of seeing his hagged tired face running around toowong (while i already tired and hagged, a smoker without proper running shoes)i mustered up my audacity to sit next to him to chat, despite the fact it was a 12pm train and one need not sit next to anyone at all. Nick Earls is the nicest guy, so down to earth and effortlessly funny. my copy of Bachelor kisses, is the most dog-eared mistreated book, but it has led me through my being 18 - 22. I picked it up while living in bayliss street toowong, as i was dumped by my then med school boyfriend. This book was invaluable, it is funnym subtle and a large part of brisbane culture, it's the fresh new wave brisbane ( i know it was written in the 80's and 90's..) but it is the piece of australian culture i love. Bachelor kisses made me dump my Jon Boy and find my beautiful, creative, hilarious Rick.
