Apparently Cait Sith's Slot Limit Break deathblow thing (lining up the three Cait Sith faces)kills it instantly. As far as Ruby is concerned.........well........ I did it the old-fashioned way, and it took me F-O-R-E-V-E-R-!!!!!! But that golden chocobo is worth it......I guess........

Ok now i have a few Questions:Is It possible to eat tem when ur Chars levels ar around the 60's? And:ok Im trying to Get Underwter materia so it says go to the underwater reactor and morph the ghost ship that youll find theyre so-I Hop on my sub and Submerge to the underwater. Now i see a lil Rector lookin thing i drive into it-Nothing hapopens THEN i go to junon and goinside and go alll the way down the underwater reactor and the door says:Locked:Why Isnt it lettin me in?Do i have to get a key?Do i even need Under Water Materia? I'd seriously abuse the AireTam Storm... someone with 2 materia and 9999 hp, would be left with 7777 after a storm. Lucky sevens. 63 hits, each at 7777 damage = 489951 damage. granted, some of that would be soaked up by the eyes, but they'd go down in 2... that, plus some Limit Miming... (I've never knightsed Emerald. it's a bit too... typical for my tastes.)
Posted By: roffle my woffle Posted On: Apr 14, 2004 Views: 956	Ruby = easy Ruby Weapon is definately easier than Emerald Weapon. All you need is W-Summon, MP Absorb + Master Summon linked together, and enough MP to double cast Hades and Knights of the Round. Cast Hades on Ruby which will inflict Stop on him and cast KotR on the tentacles to kill them and completely restore your MP. Once the tentacles are gone, just keep double casting Hades and KotR (in that order) on Ruby himself. If you're fast enough, Ruby will never get an attack in for the rest of the battle.
Posted By: Talon Posted On: Apr 12, 2004 Views: 1073	Emerald Weapon. It does 1111 for every materia. So, with maybe the exception of Barret with his limit break full, level 4 limit, and best weapon to up the attack on that, keep only maybe 2 or 3 materias on all your characters. :P.

Posted By: Talon Posted On: Apr 12, 2004 Views: 898	Ruby vs Emerald Erm, I don't mean to insult strategies, and so forth, but, Emerald was harder. With Ruby, All you need is an HP+ for 9999 hp, master magic materia, master summon-absorb mp combo, and be at least level 70 with Cloud. Use his ultima weapon, mystile, and ribbon. First thing you should do, ever, is cast Shield. Granted, when I used it I couldn't haste/regen/cur4/etc myself.. But, Ruby almost never hit me. And when he did, the most he got was 2 hits from meteor2, and only did, maybe 4000 damage. Just keep your shield up, pound him with knights of the round, and he drops kind of hard. As with healing, you can get penty of elixers for that using the morph materia, or duplicating. And if you do have a Gold chocobo, you can also add a KOTR-absorb hp combo on there.. Perhaps a W-summon.. Then, all that's left that you need, is patience. Not sure if it helps a whole lot, but I always did it, but I always omnislashed the blasted tentacles the moment I could.. Anyways, happy slaughtering to ya all. :P.

Posted By: Poke Posted On: Apr 12, 2004 Views: 900	Acutally If you enter the fight vs ruby with two dead characters it can't remove the last one... And then it will stick it's arms into the ground i.e. that it can't use that attack anymore. And you just revive your characters and beat it.
Posted By: The Pill Posted On: Apr 11, 2004 Views: 905	Ruby, all the way Ruby Weapon is easily the most difficult enemy in Final Fantasy VII. Let's look at the facts. You are limited to one character to fight with. You're fighting an enemy that uses Ultima often and also attacks with a set of tentacles. If you cast anything or attack before Ruby Weapon places its tentacles in the ground, it was a waste of a turn. So, unless you're willing to keep hitting reset and trying again when the character you have all of your best materia and armor equipped to, you're going to be in for one really tough battle.
