Why are we so narrow minded?

So what if MS invited Rory?At the summit where you meet a lot of technology enthusiasts, getting to meet one more is only a good thing.

The argument about MVP non-MVP is too petty, may be we should grow out of that.

Voted Yes

Rory was invited.

Rory accepted.

Maybe he should have kept it quiet, anticipating the reaction, but he didn't. He's human.

He was invited.

He had every right to accept.

He accepted.

He went.

The end (IMHO).

Why not

If Rory was invited, I dont see a reason why he cant be there. Do you question yourself when you get an invitation "Am I eligible to accept this invitation? Will other invitees be offended if I accept this invitation". I think those who have an issue with Rory attending should question the appropriate contact in Microsoft as to why Rory was invited when he is not an MVP.

He was invited

He didn't just gatecrash, he was invited by Microsoft so why are some people making a mountain out of this very small molehill?

The Easy Way

Oh sure, Jason - but that just seems *too* easy.

Perhaps I'll post something cranky on my site about how some people are always taking the easy route, and how unfair that is to the rest of us who think things should be done the hard way.

A Ha

But you can vote multiple times. You simply have to delete your cookies after each vote. Skew away my friends ;)

How disturbing

Well, that is just wrong. If you can't vote multiple times in order to skew the results, the whole idea of an internet poll just becomes complete distorted.

To thwart this evil limitation, try creating multiple virtual machines with VMWare or Virtual PC. Ha!

What!

This thing only let me vote for myself once.

That sucks...
