Try some options

If you're comfortable, fine. If you're worried about how they look (thus, asking us in a poll), get a girl friend to go shopping with you for other summer shoes and see what's out there: tennis shoes, casual loafers, athletic-looking sandals, OTHER styles of sandals. And maybe you'll find something you really like.

I agree... If you have to ask, that's not such a good sign. I don't think you should wear anything that makes you uncomfotable (emmotionally or physically). If you are walking around all the time wondering if people are looking at your feet, then that's not going to be comfortable. Confidence is sexy. That said, if someone is shallow enough to think less of you because of footwear, screw them. I think they look fine, myself.
