And Dave, I was not fighting an argument. I stated my opinion, and people criticized it. I did address the specific criticism in the first paragraph, and then yes, I went on to talk about something that was bugging me from Sures post. Is that wrong? There is nothing wrong with criticism as long as it is constructive. We should learn to accept it, and utilize it as a tool to improve ourselves, myself included. As to why I am here, I do actually enjoy the odd topics that come up. My writing style is not in an effort to appear superior to anyone, but rather mimics how I speak and present myself in real life. Medication Man, if you would indulge me, I am curious as to why you would believe me to be male. |

That's what I have been saying... Dear Aurora, Don't you understand what dave has been saying? He's been stating that grammer is not a relevant part of an argument unless that argument is actually about grammer, and when one talks of grammer during a topic such as politics it shows that there is no relevant information to be gained from that person. Criticism is not constructive it has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. |

Your attempts to goad me into one have been unsuccessful. I have explained it as I feel is necessary, and Kiki assisted with a viable analogy. Do you know who are some of the people who seem to be the greatest idiots? Those who can not admit to obvious faults. If you gloss over my banter, then why do you reply? One final note, if you argue, then you can actually try to dislodge the arguments presented by the other side, like Me, Dave and other have, rather then to dismiss it all if your losing your point. Originally I was not going to get myself involved in this pathetic arguement pertaining solely to dialectics but I can't resist. It seems that everybody here, except for Aurora and Kiki, would fail the verbal section of the SAT's miserably. If I was to say that I liked both Mustangs and Corvettes because they are powerful, that means that I associate both of those cars with power. That's it. They are not the same. If you think that Hitler did not have any power then I suggest you stop eating the paste during your classes. |
