The porn biz is safe and because we are tested regularly and know most of the people we work with fairly well it isn't as risky as the press would have you believe. The recent nightmare showed the system worked (reporting wise) and also illustrated a flaw concerning testing after being out of the country. I wish those affected all the best. Now about that $12k....that's about 22-24 scenes for us guys....when's casting call? VG

But they found some of the initial cases that were revealed had the HIV for a little while, and on top of that HIV is a disease that sometimes wont show any visible signs (including in the bloodstream) for up to 2 years, although it can still be transmitted before it shows. Too high of a risk for my tastes.
