Definitely SNES

I just have one thing to say about good RPGs...Squaresoft

Final Fantasy IV,V,VI, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana Series, Ogre Battle,

but also consider...
Soul Blazer, Legend of Zelda: Link to the past (it could fall under the RPG category),and even Mario RPG was a decent game

I voted Ps2

You can play any game made for ps1 or 2 on it, grphics rock and it has kingdom hearts! However, my gameboy advance has pretty good rpgs and I do travel a lot...so its basically a tie for me.

Because...

The SNES. Not because I grew up with it (which I did) or because it wad the first system I played an RPG on (it wasn't), but because so far no other system has had the range or many styles that the SNES had to choose from.

Console RPG system

I have to go with the tried and true SNES. Lots of RPGs to mention:

FF 2/4
FF 3/6
FF 5
FF MQ

And my fav: Super Mario RPG

Plus, easy controller to use, no hassle of memory cards, and just plain kick a$$ games!

Favourite Console for RPGing...

Playstation 2, simply because you can play PS1 RPGs on it, as well as PS1 remakes of SNES RPGs and last, but not least, PS2 RPGs!

Yes, I know PC has even more choices if you count emulation, but I really don't like playing games on a CPU. It's too much typewriter and not enough... ah, never mind. I screwed up the reference.

By the way, this is a good topic!
