Also, I can't be greedy, so the only one I'd really want is Portishead. You can pick out the rest. Hmm...honestly I am not sure where their names a from. Portishead was one of the first groups to pioneer Trip Hop in the 90's and such, Beth Gibbons is the lead and her voice is divine. Sneaker Pimps in also a trip hop group though they rotated leads (chicks and guys). Thievery Corporation are these two guys who just mix a whole lot of songs themselves, random female vocals at times, sometimes none, also trip hop. They fall under the broad category of "chillout" which is largely composed of hip-hop-like beats paired together with a delicate vocal (as with Portishead), or just hip hop beats and funky mixes. Good stuff I say. But that doesn't mean I can't go for some OutKast or Aerosmith. Oh yeah. |
