| Posted By: Kristi Posted On: Jun 18, 2004 Views: 729 | Horrible Lawn hello all! My neighbors have the worst lawn ever!!! This crazy woman thinks all this thigh high vegetation is ornamental... We live in Oklahoma City and it is freaking hot here! Guess what happens when you have Oklahoma storm season, hot, humid weather and the wild kingdom next door? You get bugs! Ticks and biting flies and mosquitoes. I can't believe how ugly this lawn is and she actually goes outside and WATERS it!!!!!! Anyone have any suggestions how I can 1) get her to cut the crap down or 2) subtly start 'widening my lawn' thus eliminating our yards from touching? OMG, I wish I had a picture that I could somehow attach to this so you guys could see what a nightmare this is! Sorry to have rambled on but who knew that Todd was gonna hit so close to home with his weekly poll and there it was sitting in spot #2 - bad lawn - like it was all meant to be - like he actually could see how bad a problem this has become and in some small way is sympathetic. If it wasn't such a horribly karmic thing to do, I would look into salting or gasolining their yard... But I think that would be a REALLY bad thing to do... And I have given this topic a lot of thought! Help me, please! Kristi |

| Posted By: lawnlady Posted On: Jun 18, 2004 Views: 715 | RE: Horrible Lawn girlfriend, you need to forget about the 'karma' stuff, get yourself some damn good killer chemicals, set your alarm for 3am, do the deed. i have the SAME thing goin'. a weasal nazi, whose backyard is across the alley from mine (the access to my garage) hasn't mowed but ONCE the whole season. last weeks, with weeds nearly covering his windows in the front, he shows up...mowed the front only! pure pitiful. didn't touch the back, naturally. the putz! so monday i invested in some round-up knock off & slopped that **** all over. he has a 18K pontoon parked back there, too. i hope his feet drop off when he decides to mow any spots i missed. there ya go...problem solved. |
