Posted By: Ian Bolling Posted On: Oct 15, 2005 Views: 2829 | That which can be ruled out... Alright, first of all, it is highly inplausible that is a non-human primate. It's teeth are just like modern human teeth, i.e. adapted to be omnivourous; whereas gorillas have larger and sharper 'canine' teeth, and whereas monkeys have more numerous, smaller, 'canine' teeth. Some have said (as its source says), that it is the skull of a deformed child. As far as I am aware, children do not have a maximum capacity of seven to ten teeth. They, of course, do not grow all their teeth at the same time, but they do not have a jaw that grows unpropotiantely to the rest of the body as it ages into adulthood. Also, the supposed deformation of the skull would have to be a never-before-seen affliction, as most disorders that affect the bones do it in an overall fashion, not simply the cranium. As one person mentioned, it could be the 'water-on-the-brain' illness where the cranium expands, but then why the strange hole. Did some doctor think it would help if they cut through the skull to 'relieve the pressure,' and why publish that in their brochure? In fact, there are numerous holes, the primary one on the forehead being smoothed, and a secondary one on the side of the skull that is perfectly triangle shaped. And, as far as I know, the cranium would not swell such a massive extent in all directions without killing the afflicted. Then again, maybe they don't care about being too morbid. Also, 'deformed skulls' in children can include holes in the skull (due to a malfunction in the early bone-fusing process), but not in the places shown in the image, nor would they be so uniformly shaped (notice the triangular hole to the left. Another thing to note is the shape of the eye-sockets and their unusual, 'arched' distortion (even acounting for angle). |
Posted By: Agaius Versus Posted On: Aug 23, 2005 Views: 3483 | Not alien It's form is human, during the grow-stage the bonees are weak like between te ribbs, it can take all forms, when calcium builds up the tissue hardens and become solid. Deformations like these are common. not as rare as most people think. There are also lots of reasons why these deformations happen. Hydrocefalus for example. |
Posted By: Pappy Atoms Posted On: Jul 8, 2005 Views: 3722 | Skull Look at the teeth. This is a pediatric skull. Kids skulls differ from adults in several dimensions. Beyond this, the head is large because of hydrocephalus (water on the brain). Thus, the deformity. |

Posted By: Doc-Ock Posted On: Jun 3, 2005 Views: 2319 | What if, just maybe, perhaps... I'm glad most of the comments posted so far have been reasonable in their assertion that this skull is nothing unusual. Sarcasm is well placed in this case. Let's turn to logic: Why would a medical technology company market its products with an extraterrestrial skull? That's what the brochure is for... Marketing. Show me the market for Grey-scanning MRI equipment and I'll show you my perpetual motion machine. This website is the most preposterous collection of ridiculous supposition I've ever seen. |
Posted By: Orbyss Posted On: Mar 18, 2005 Views: 2855 | That "What Is This Species?" Poll It's a human, Hydrocephalic skull. Probably a child judging by the teeth. The hole in the skull could very likely result from the fact that, in hydrocephalic children, the skull is thin and brittle in many places. Skull are very brittle in general (I should know, I work with them). It is definitely homonid at any rate. |

Posted By: Passing By Posted On: Mar 1, 2005 Views: 2791 | Skull Species Pole It looks like the skull of an animal. The skull has a full set of teeth, so it can't be a human infant. Maybe it's a pug dog or some sort of monkey. |
Posted By: Ed Posted On: Feb 14, 2005 Views: 2435 | re the skull I think that it is the skull of a baby whose growth was either incomplete or in some way hindered by a disease. Hell, it could be the Elephant man's skull for all I know. |
