I dont really like michael moore as a person, but i like him as a filmmaker. i dont really agree with all his politics, but i appreciate what he has to say. i myself am a filmmaker, and am impressed with this film. You must understand that as a celebrity and filmmaker, moore is trying to generate discussion and awareness and within a very limiting 2 hours of film, and can only present a limited point of view. you are only getting small glimpse of what his opinions are and what the "truth" may be. is this film propoganda and misleading? probably. but is it also a vital part of what we as a nation should be discussing? you betcha. |

I don't agree that we are in Iraq, but we are there, nothing I can personally do about it. Nothing you can do about it either. No I'll admit I have no rights to complain about our president, because I'm not registered to vote. So therefore I won't complain. I know I should be registered, but honestly in all my 21 years I haven't yet seen a political candidate that I would want in office, and yes I have followed politics since I was 12. When I turned 18 I saw no point in registering so I didn't. I do believe however that the was in Iraq was just Bush finishing his daddy's war and I also believe it is all over OIL. It is sad because I have a sister over there and a cousin. I just had a family reunion this weekend and they weren't there, I wonder everyday if my relatives are going to come home. And if they do come home will they be the same? As for the torture in Iraq, no it's not right, and no it shouldn't be happening and this is in no way an excuse for it, but we are all human, we make mistakes, and in times of stress we do things we wouldn't normally do. I can't say much for the movie as I haven't seen it but I plan to see it tommorow, and I'll be sure to let you all know my opinions on it. As for those of you who are judging Mr. Moore, please remember that we are all entitled to our own opinions, and that every one is not going to agree, Mr. Moore just has the power to make his opinions widely known. Oh and DM this is for you, America has not gone yet, we are still here...:) I haven't voiced everything I feel here but as my post is getting much to long I will stop. Until Laters Kristina |

The opening of the movie he trys to explain that Al Gore won the election. He didn't. Get over it. Later he says that we bombed Iraq for no reason. Well last week they found documents that Saddamm was planning numerious terrorists attacks. Michael also thinks that a building that was bombed several years ago in Iraq was really a medicine factory. Well new information proves that they were making serine gas in the building. The most bogus thing he did was when George Bush was visiting a pre-school during the Sep 11 attacks, he zoomed in on his face in said stuff like, "what was he thinking?" "was he thinking about getting the Arabs out of the country?" "was he thinking about himself?" "was he thinking about beating up his wife?" and he goes on and on but the truth is he doesn't know, he's making it up to make the president look dumb. Oh whatever dont see this movie. |
